Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This is the privacy policy for worldcurio.com (the “Site”). It lists what we collect, who else sees it, and the choices you have.
What this page covers
This explains what data WorldCurio ends up with when you visit, who else touches it, and what you can do about it. It is meant to be read, so we kept it short.
What we collect
Things you send us. If you email us, we get your address and whatever you write. That is the only personal information we ask for. There are no accounts or sign-ups.
Things your browser sends automatically. Like any website, our host records your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for, the page you came from, and the time. We use these logs to spot abuse and to see which pages are busy.
Things stored on your device. Game high scores, your home country on the visited map and your theme choice live in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies and receives your IP address and some device details. We use the reports to decide what to fix or write next, not to identify anyone. Google offers a browser add-on that switches Analytics off: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Ads and cookies
The site is funded by ads. Google AdSense and other third-party vendors show them, and those vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to WorldCurio and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' personalised ads at aboutads.info. Google explains how it handles data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Turning off advertising cookies does not remove the ads. It just makes them less relevant to you. Every browser also lets you block or delete cookies in its settings.
Other services we rely on
Pages load flags and some images from content delivery networks, so those providers see your IP address when the files are requested. Our hosting and security providers keep server logs. Some pages link to booking sites such as airlines and flight search engines. Once you click through, that site's own privacy policy applies, and we may earn a commission if you book.
What we do and do not do with your data
We use it to run and improve the site, to answer your emails and to keep things secure. We do not sell your personal information and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing, beyond the ad and analytics partners described above.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for up to 90 days, then deleted. Emails are kept only while we are still dealing with your question.
Children
WorldCurio is a general travel site, not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to how it is used. Email worldcurio.wow@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days.
If this policy changes
When we change it, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
