Canyoning at the Bottom of the World
Because it descends to the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the surface of the Earth, Mujib is the lowest nature reserve anywhere. Its signature experience is the Siq Trail, where you follow a perennial river upstream through a narrow canyon, the water sometimes waist or chest deep, scrambling over rocks and up small waterfalls. The reserve also protects rare wildlife, including the Nubian ibex, in its rugged terrain.
